Everything You Need to Know About Mobile Spray Tans in Denver
How do I prepare for my spray tan?
Shower, shave & exfoliate several hours before your appointment: this gives time for your pores to close and the skin to completely dry so the formula sticks and we don’t have a patchy discolored tan
Avoid moisturizers and other beauty products: adding moisture to the skin prevents the tan solution from sticking to your skin
Complete all other beauty procedures FIRST: manicures, facials, massages all tend to rub off the spray tan
Wear loose, dark clothing: this ensures none of the freshly applied spray tan formula will rub off; avoid yoga pants, bras, & jean
Apply moisturizer to very dry areas: ankles, knees, knuckles & elbows tend to have the driest skin that may absorb too much color, for a guaranteed natural appearance- apply a light moisturizer to only those area
What do I do after my spray tan?
Shower 5-8 hours after the spray tan: this gives time for the formula to fully develop. Rinse off with no soap to preserve the color for longer (remember the more you shower the quicker the tan will fade).
MOISTURIZE: Apply moisturizer daily to maintain your tan for longer. Nourished skin holds color longer.
How long will my spray tan last?
Typical spray tan will last 5-7 days, make sure to apply moisturizer daily to maintain your tan for longer. Nourished skin holds color longer. Don’t exfoliate, wait at least 5-7 days to exfoliate your face & body to preserve the spray tan.
Avoid makeup remover, face masks, products with alcohol, acids (enzymes), & witch hazel.
What do I wear for my spray tan?
Whatever you want- panties, bra, bathing suit, or nothing. We recommend minimal clothing for minimal tan lines, but wear whatever make you more comfortable.
Will the spray tan dirty my sheets?
Some excess color can come off on your sheets. We recommend sleeping in loose long sleeve PJs. If color does come off, the solution does not stain and will easily wash out in the washer!
